Ses Puntetes Hotel is a straightforward, family-run base with the easygoing feel that suits Cala d’Or. Its 24 rooms are simple rather than showy, with balconies, air conditioning or heating, private bathrooms, Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. There is a bar terrace for a relaxed drink, a lounge with satellite television, and two places to eat: one for buffet breakfasts and another serving à la carte meals. The outdoor pool sits 50 metres from the main building, giving the hotel a slightly split-site setup but keeping a swim close at hand.

The location is the real advantage. You are in central Cala d’Or, within a few minutes’ walk of the resort’s bars and restaurants, and around 400 metres from Cala Gran and Cala d’Or beaches. Cala Esmeralda and Cala Ferrera are also walkable, while Es Fortí is nearby for a change from beach time. With single, double/twin and triple rooms, it works particularly well for couples, friends and families wanting a practical, well-placed stay rather than a full-service resort.
