What guests mention

star prestige champagne bar sunset champagne infinity pool family room buffet restaurant beautiful hotel steam room rooftop terrace breakfast dinner sea view half board

Guests tend to enjoy the hotel’s clean, spacious rooms, welcoming team and generous breakfast selection. Its position beside the beach is a major draw, while the rooftop infinity pool, Star Prestige experience, Champagne Bar and evening entertainment add to the holiday atmosphere. Many describe it as calm and well looked after, with family rooms and sea views receiving positive mentions. On the other hand, some feel rates and add-on costs are steep, including beach-related fees. The spa is considered rather small by a number of visitors, and a few areas feel dated.

About Iberostar Selection Playa de Palma

Iberostar Selection Playa de Palma pairs polished five-star comfort with an easy-going Majorcan holiday feel. Mediterranean details run through the property, from the lobby’s much-loved golden Filomena sculpture to the sunset-facing Champagne Bar. Dining is a real focus here, especially at Guethary Gourmet Restaurant by chef Aitor Arregi, while four bars provide plenty of choice after dark. For an elevated stay, the adults-only Star Prestige area adds a rooftop terrace and infinity pool with broad sea views.

Set directly on Playa de Palma’s beachfront, the hotel makes it simple to move between the sand, promenade and nearby bars and restaurants. Palma Airport is around 15 minutes away by car, making it particularly convenient for a short break as well as a longer holiday. Families have roomier accommodation options, while couples may prefer Star Prestige; its facilities and straightforward airport access also suit business travellers extending a work trip with a little coast time.

Guests regularly single out the friendly staff, spotless and generously sized rooms, and a breakfast buffet with ample variety. The relaxed setting, evening entertainment and sea-view upgrades also win praise. A few feel parts of the décor could use refreshing, however, and some find the spa modest for a hotel of this standard. Beach charges and certain extras can also make the overall spend feel less compelling than expected.
