Request a high-floor full sea-view room; floors 6–9 offer the best panoramic views, less pool noise, and excellent balcony outlooks.
What guests mention
Guests tend to rate this as a well-run beachfront hotel with a particularly kind, efficient staff and consistently clean, comfortable accommodation. Sea-facing rooms, spacious junior suites and walk-in showers earn frequent praise, while the breakfast and dinner buffets are valued for their range and changing evening themes. Its position by the beach, shops and promenade is a major advantage. On the less glowing side, some feel the pool area lacks character, and a few extras, such as hiring a kettle, can seem unnecessary. Overall, it is widely seen as good value.

Top tips
Upgrade to a junior, mini, or corner suite for extra space; higher-floor corner suites provide especially good sea views.
Request or pay extra for a high-floor sea-view room — it may feel larger, offers excellent pool-and-beach views, and gets balcony sun until early afternoon.
Choose a side sea-view room for attractive beach and mountain views; these rooms may offer more space but smaller bathrooms.
Request a room away from the lifts to reduce noise, preferably on a higher floor.
Book early, especially for high-season stays, as availability and pool sunbeds can become limited.
Arrange a private airport transfer for a quicker journey.
Expect different buffet dishes each night and higher drink prices than at outside bars.
Try the weekly barbecue and the snack bar.
Book early and request a junior suite with sea view for extra space and two balconies.
Look several hundred metres away for street parking during busy periods, as spaces near the hotel fill quickly.
Consider room 417 for extra space or room 419 for a side beach view.
Request a southern-end or low-number room for less noise from nearby bars.
Walk along the flat promenade to the smooth sandy beach, which is directly beside the hotel.
Travel before the school holidays, particularly in late May or early June, for a quieter pool and calmer atmosphere.
Get up early to secure a sunbed around the pool.
Catch the entertainment at Moments and check both the front and rear hotel bars.
Bring or rent a travel kettle if you want coffee on your balcony; kettles are not normally provided.
Use the indoor pools in late October when the weather turns unsettled.
Visit the Artà market on Tuesdays; the excursion costs 10 euros per person.
Walk to Cala Bona for paella and a lively selection of bars and restaurants.
Hire a car to explore less-visited places around Majorca; rentals can be inexpensive.
Take the local bus to Palma to see more of Majorca’s countryside.
Allow about an hour for the airport transfer.
Check every room charge carefully before signing, as duplicate charges have occurred.
Ask reception for beach umbrellas and other useful items before buying them elsewhere.
Budget separately for paid beach sunbeds.
Use the pool bar service for drinks delivered to your sunbed.
Skip the beach restaurant and eat along the back strip instead.
Request a north-facing room if you want it to stay cooler throughout the day.
Request room 801 for a good sea view and balcony sunshine throughout the day.
Request room 808 for full sea views and balcony sun until about 2:00pm, but expect some evening entertainment noise.
Request room 515 for excellent sea views.
Request room 212 for its large balcony with sun loungers, table, and chairs.
Choose a rear-facing room for quieter nights and afternoon sun.
Ask the hotel to place multiple rooms on the same landing.
Request a corner room on the hotel’s left side when facing it, such as 203 or 303, for all-day sun.
Budget for the government tourist tax as an additional holiday cost.
Carry both cash and a card, as the hotel accepts either payment method.
Walk carefully across the bridge.
Use the hotel’s reception Wi-Fi if you need internet access.
About CM Playa del Moro
CM Playa del Moro is the sort of hotel that makes a Cala Millor break feel wonderfully easy: contemporary, relaxed and set right beside the sand. With 152 rooms, a bright Mediterranean feel and many rooms looking out across the water, it suits families and couples who want sea-and-sun days without sacrificing a little comfort. There’s an outdoor pool with a separate children’s pool, plus an indoor pool, spa treatments and a gym; the terrace and pool bar are well placed for a slower afternoon drink.
The hotel sits on Cala Millor’s beachfront promenade, with only the walkway separating it from the sandy shore. Restaurants, bars and plenty of shops are an easy stroll away, so a car is far from essential for a classic resort stay. Palma Airport is around 70 km away. Half-board guests can expect freshly prepared Mediterranean and international buffet meals at breakfast and dinner, while the central setting also makes it simple to explore the resort’s evening scene.
Guests regularly single out the warm, attentive team, especially in the restaurant, along with spotlessly maintained rooms and comfortable beds. Sea-view rooms and junior suites are especially popular, and the varied evening themes add interest to dinner. A few visitors feel the pool setting could have more atmosphere, and some were caught out by added costs, including kettle hire, but the overall verdict is a very positive one for its location, cleanliness and welcoming feel.
