What guests mention
Guests tend to rate Azul Playa for its standout position above Cala Ferrera, with sea outlooks, roomy terraces and a relaxed pool area frequently earning praise. Apartments are generally described as clean, pleasant and well suited to self-catering, while the on-site lounge is handy for drinks and casual meals. Plenty of sunbeds and helpful reception add to the easygoing feel. The chief drawback is the number of steps around this hillside property, which can be inconvenient for anyone with limited mobility or heavy luggage.

About Azul Playa
Azul Playa is a small, unfussy aparthotel built into the hillside above Cala Ferrera, with the sea doing much of the decorative work. Its 31 apartments range from standard one-bedroom layouts to two larger two-bedroom options, and many open onto a balcony or terrace—some with particularly appealing coastal outlooks. The feel is relaxed and practical rather than polished-resort formal, with a pool, spa access and Coco Lounge serving Spanish dishes, snacks and drinks by the water.
The setting is the real draw: the apartments sit only a few metres above Cala Ferrera, putting a swim or a beach day within easy reach. Each unit has a kitchenette, useful for families, longer stays and anyone who prefers an easy breakfast at home before exploring Majorca’s southeast coast. Do note that the sloping site involves stairs, and certain apartments require a fairly substantial climb; contact reception ahead of booking if step-free access matters.
Guests especially appreciate the generous outdoor spaces, tidy apartments and the ease of having the beach, pool and refreshments so close together. Many describe it as a peaceful place for a proper switch-off, with ample loungers and a friendly, low-key atmosphere. The hillside steps are the main consideration, but for travellers comfortable with them, the setting and sea-facing terraces are often the memorable part of the stay.
